Learn to dance Scottish
There are dancing groups across metropolitan Melbourne and country Victoria, so there is sure to be a class near you. At a class, you can expect to learn the basic steps and formations and a variety of dances. There are 5 basic steps and these steps are used in a variety of formations. These formations are put together in endless, different combinations to produce an infinite number of dances. Below are links to dancing groups associated with the Melbourne & District Branch detailing contacts, class nights and venues. You can search via a list or a map. You would be more than welcome at any of these classes. Just contact them beforehand and let them know you are coming.
At least once per year, the RSCDS Melbourne & District Branch holds a beginners' course. This will be advertised on this website, so please check back regularly to see where and when this course will be held.
