Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club Scottish Ceilidh Dance
The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club (MSFC) is holding a Scottish Ceilidh Dance evening at the Hawthorn Town Hall.
The MSFC is a community group dedicated to providing our members and the public with opportunities to learn, play and share Scottish folk music. We have monthly rehearsals, conduct public concerts, dances and workshops, and perform at festivals and cultural events throughout the year.
At our Scottish Ceilidh Dance we’ll have:
A 30-piece live band
Easy-to-follow dance instructions
A bar with drinks and snacks
A raffle in support of our upcoming CD recording
Date: Thursday May 28, 7:30pm
Location: Hawthorn Arts Centre (plenty of parking behind the Arts Centre)
Tickets: $30 adult, $20 13–17 yrs, under 13s free.

The classes are designed to form a Development Course and the ideal is that dancers will attend all three classes – it will be a good preparation for the 2026 Melbourne Winter School. The Course will focus on formations including Chains, Allemandes, Poussettes, Double Triangles and Corner Formations and more!

The Melbourne & District Branch extends a warm invitation to all dancers to meet at University College, University of Melbourne, Parkville for a fun filled week of Scottish Country Dancing with great teachers and musicians.

**Are you a student aged 18-35 years? We can now offer accommodation at University College in single rooms with shared bathroom facilities at $2050 (includes accommodation, all meals, all classes and evening functions).**
